It’s no secret by now, after multiple national lockdowns and various restrictive tiers; we’re all stuck at home and trying to find ways to keep our minds and bodies active, but it’s way easier to slip out of our healthy routine and get comfortable enjoying the downtime. Staying fit and motivated while you’re working from home can seem like an impossible task but with just a few tiny changes and differences to your day, you can make your working from home lockdown experience a little better.
What Vive Fitness Recommends
Something we recommend personally, is a posture and stretching exercise in-between longer working sessions. A simple stretch and posture-check throughout your day at home around the house helps keep your body positioned correctly and keeps you from entering a slouch often. It may sound minor and small – but this helps you maintain form for when you do head back to your full workout, giving you more control over your posture and position for your exercises.
Another small addition, if possible, is to have some Vive exercise bands nearby for times when you can have a mini break from work. One or two band exercises/activations of your muscles while you’re not focused on a task can make all the difference – the Vive Fitness way – short efficient training sessions. You’ll find that you’re able to maintain different muscle groups over time whilst getting a daily mini mental boost. Each little exercise, stretch or activity helps massively towards your physical and mental maintenance, and makes it even easier and smoother to transition back to your preferred exercise post lockdown.
