Ingrid’s fitness has, even now at 26 weeks in, allowed her to continue guiding our members through EMS sessions with incredible energy and she’s convinced Reformer Pilates has enabled this. Her core might be nurturing a baby, but it’s still steel-strong!
“I’m loving every moment of my pregnancy. Some days I’m full of energy, other days I need rest – I just listen to my body and keep moving when I can because I still can,” Ingrid shares.
It Was Not Easy to get Pregnant…
Training & nutrition helped Ingrid conceive, with her story starting a few years ago when she was diagnosed with PCOS, which can make conceiving difficult. Determined to give herself the best chance, she focused on training 4-5 times a week, improved her nutrition (high protein, more veggies), reduced alcohol, and embraced a healthier lifestyle. Finally, after hopeful waiting, those two lines appeared.

Now, throughout her pregnancy – and no longer able to participate in EMS sessions – she’s been managing her fitness through Reformer Pilates at Vive Fitness Westminster with our lovely trainer Nuno. Reformer Pilates is largely considered one of the most effective and safe ways to stay fit during pregnancy.
WHAT IS REFORMER PILATES?
A form of sensible exercise that takes you through a healthy range of motion – strengthen and lengthen your muscles to feel pain free, stronger and the bed-like frame uses springs to provide adjustable resistance without stressing joints, perfect for mums-to-be. It strengthens the core and pelvic floor, improves posture, enhances circulation, and provides a calming mind-body connection – crucial tools for managing pregnancy and preparing for birth.
At Vive Fitness Westminster, Reformer Pilates are especially effective, as sessions are led by experienced instructors that tailor every session to your goals. You can train Privately (1-to-1) or Semi-Privately (1-to-2).
